Staying at this hotel was a unique experience. Despite the initial chill in the rooms before the heating kicked in, they eventually became cozy and warm, which made for a comfortable stay. The bar served a nice meal with a specialty in fish dishes, and the breakfast was fantastic. The quietness of the surroundings added to the good value offered. The location in the unusual village of Portknockie, with its historic fisherman houses, provided a glimpse into the area's rich past.
